Current production Ettore Sottass' iconic 1959 Alzata vessels from Bitossi .  A highly esteemed architect and industrial designer before achieving worldwide fame as head of the Memphis Design Movement decades later, Sottsass created a range of important ceramics based on his travels in the United States and India.  Still handmade by craftsman at the  Manifattura Bitossi, a company in Florence on the register of " Historical Italian Companies".
